Research from both medical and scientific communities have been making the case that at our core, we are made up of vibrational energy. While I have no background in either of these fields, personal experience helps me substantiate these claims.

Apps like Spotify and SoundCloud give us free and unlimited access to music right at our fingertips . Never have we had the opportunity to create and hear such a variety of sounds. After filtering through 1000’s of songs over the past few years, I found myself being drawn to certain styles that were difficult to categorize. I labeled them HealHop. When transitioning to my healthy lifestyle, I felt the vibration of the music coalescing with the energy of my “Etheric” body. I believe it produced a profound healing effect. Whether working out, driving or cooking, I still feel these mellow, jazzy rhythms serving a medicinal purpose.

I developed an interest in the topic and discovered that many ancient cultures used instruments such as gongs, bowls, chimes, tuning forks, hangs and rain sticks as tools for healing. I then realized that these instruments were subtly used in much of the music I was listening to. What makes those frequencies so powerful and what else are they capable of?

Sound can heal, but it can also be a toxin. I still occasionally listen to Electronic Dance Music. But for individuals whose vibrational energy needs tuning, this music might only exacerbate their problems. The music you listen to should harmonize with your vibrations, not scramble them. For me, I consider FM radio a toxin. Whether it is the low quality sound, poor lyrics, commercial interruptions or lack of variety I feel myself get anxious and irritable when forced to listen to it. Silence is a much better option.

Pay attention to the sounds that surround you. Turn down the noise. Turn up the healing.
