WHERE WE’VE BEEN
Visualization
Visualization is a powerful tool to overcome physical and psychological challenges. Where do you go when you row?
Clear Them Out
Negative Emotions cost us valuable time and energy. Meditation helps us get rid of these pesky little things…
Strokes Per Minute
The Concept2 monitors give us tons of valuable data. Displays such as Force Curve, Energy Output and Strokes per Minute help us connect with the machine on a much deeper level. Using the “Strokes per Minute” feature helps rowers better synchronize with the music and each other.
Charge The Battery
Plug In, charge the battery. When Life drains our energy, meditation restores it. Rest is Power!
The Little “I’s”
We are made up of a multiplicity of thoughts and emotions. When the “Real I” begins to identify, observe and eliminate the negative “Little I’s” we are on our way towards a more peaceful life.
Stressed Out
Many of us live in a chronic state of low level anxiety. While the symptoms of this “Silent Stress” are subtle, it’s long term effects are not. If you or someone you know might be suffering from this insidious condition, we may be able to help!
Musical Medicine
When listening to music for meditative, reflective, or healing purposes…instrumentals are best. Vocals can be a distraction and prevent us from connecting more deeply with the sounds.
Feeding. Cleansing.
Visualize inhaling sparkles of light and exhaling a foggy waste during your workout. Feeding. Cleansing. Visuals give the mind something to focus on and are powerful tools to overcome muscle fatigue.
Catch. Drive. Finish.
The rowing motion works all major muscle groups and increases mobility from the feet to the shoulders. The legs produce 60% of the power and we use that momentum to carry us through the stroke. Rowing is great for every BODY regardless of age or athletic ability.
Foam Roller
Is the Foam Roller the most underrated tool in fitness? SLOWLY rolling your muscles back and forth softens deep muscle tissue and increases mobility. Exhaling through pressure points will ease discomfort and bring meditation into the motion.
Tech Tip
The bright colors and intuitive applications on our phones Tug at our attention and can make us less mindful. Enabling “Grayscale” makes the screen easier on your eyes and less of a distraction. On iPhone: Settings>General>Accessibility>Display Accommodations>Color Filters. “A moment of inattention can never be recovered.” Gurdjieff
Reflection?
“Reflection is the power acquired by a consciousness to turn in upon itself. The being who is the object of its own reflection becomes in a flash able to raise itself into another sphere. In reality, another world is born.” Teilhard de Chardin
Every Moment Offers Opportunity for Growth
If you’re right handed, make a habit of brushing your teeth with your left hand (or vise versa). This turns a mundance, mechanical task into an exercise of mindful, Conscious effort. In a few weeks, what will you notice?
Variety
Every HealHop session involves a different set of exercises. Crossfitters might compare it to their “Worout of the Day.” First, the class “Mode” sets the tone of the music. Work (more upbeat), Reflect (more theraputic), or Relax (combination of the two). Second is a simple breathing exercise (box, 2:1, directed, split, latter). Third is the rowing portion (timed, interval, or distance). Next is the individualized target pace. And last is the meditation pose (Namaste, savasanna, vishnusanna, ir virasanna).
Love this class!
Love this class! Brian is super knowledgeable and really helps you channel your mind body connection. It’s low impact but will definitely get you sweating. The space is super clean and the greeting committee Rocky is ready for all the pets!

Brian is the real deal
Brian is the real deal. He listened and created an entire class to fit my specific needs- building on the traditional sweat foundation of a typical workout while introducing a new spiritual dimension that you can’t put a price on. His studio is a gift I feel so lucky to have found and want the world to experience as well! I am picky af and promise you will leave better than when you entered.

Brian is awesome!
Brian is awesome! Challenging class, but in the best way. Definitely will be back. I am out of shape and was nervous but Brian is great and accommodated to anything I wanted to do or was too tired to do, he had alternative options! Amazing!

I highly recommend!
I have been going to HealHop for almost a year now and I highly recommend! I have developed a real love for the meditative nature and physical challenge that rowing provides. Brian is a great teacher and is knowledgeable in many fitness areas. Each class can be much more than just rowing. My workout mix has included Qigong, ski and bike machines, and boxing. Always a heavy emphasis on stretching pre and post workout! Brian also tracks your progress so you can see how far you’ve come.

Brian brings a unique take on fitness that keeps you engaged
If six stars was an option, I would select that without hesitation. Been going to HealHop classes for the past couple of years and never once had a bad workout. Brian brings a unique take on fitness that keeps you engaged and always keeps it interesting. Each and every time I finish a class with Brian I feel focused, energized, and better than before.
