Healing sounds calm the mind while hip hop rhythms energize the body.  The objective is to have the body fluid and mind still, simultaneously.  Once the rower is flowing, visualization and body scanning exercises are added in.  To body scan is to direct our attention to different parts of the body. This gets us “out of our head” which can be a cause of stress and anxiety and allows us hear what our bodies are whispering.  To visualize is to see those different points in action.  Imagining muscles contracting, the joints rotating or hinging, the lungs expanding, the heart beating, and so on gets us in touch with ourselves on a deeper level.  With bringing awareness to a healthy body and mind comes gratitude and with gratitude life improves.  Much of what is taught in the studio can be applied throughout the day or during other workouts.  Beginner sessions include breathwork, stretching, foam rolling, walking, rowing, skiing and biking.  More advanced classes include creative process exploration. All ages and athletic abilities are welcome.  Heal Up!
